The French brand will be presenting at the Geneva Motor Show 2019 the Citroën Ami One Concept, a conceptual work that anticipates some solutions for the future of urban mobility and which celebrates the centenary of the French brand. The Citroën Ami One Concept is a purely electric urban, weighing less than 450 kilos and has the particularity of being cataloged within the category of light quadricycles, so that it can be driven without a license. It is a simple manufacturing car, eliminating all kinds of unnecessary components for the purpose of reducing manufacturing costs. The panels of your body are interchangeable between both sides: for example, the doors are exactly alike and can be interchanged since they have the hinges on the opposite sides. The idea was to design it in such a way that only half the parts of the body would be necessary, compared to a conventional model, since all the parts are valid for both sides of the body. This means a significant saving in manufacturing costs, in addition, it reduces the cost of spare parts and also the storage of them. The minimalist, austere and intelligent style of its body extends also to the interior, since also were adopted solutions destined to reduce to the maximum the costs of manufacture. Its lines are simple and minimalist and it lacks practically all type of controls and buttons, besides the necessary for its operation. It has manual windows and a manual sunroof, while the infotainment and navigation system is actually a voice-controlled smart phone, which is situated directly in front of the driver. To get to know the Citroën Ami One Concept in more detail, it will be necessary to await its presentation that will take place at the Geneva Motor Show 2019, which will be celebrated next March. Citroën said it will not take this conceptual work to production, although the model anticipates some of the solutions that we will see later in the urban vehicles of the French brand.
